Hi There!
I realize that this website is not that great, but this is a new venture for an old preacher. The technology is great, but my brain is slow.
In any event I will attempt to keep you up to date on issues concerning the Fedenas. Let's begin...
HEALTH: We are now in our 70's and folks often say how great we look! What they are really saying is "You look great - for old people!" :-) Actually we are very active and put in a full day's work each day. In fact I used to take a day off each week when I was pastoring, now I rarely get a day off. There is much to be done. I am always preparing for messages and lessons and making Powerpoint visuals for both. I also write and update some of my messages and lessons. We do a lot of traveling for meetings and it is always exciting to meet new friends and pastors and their families. I also do a lot of writing. I am teaching the book of Daniel at the Solid Rock School of the Scriptures at Solid Rock Bapist Church. This is my 14th year teaching there! (Their new facility is beautiful!)
TRAVEL: We drive to most all of our meetings in the tri-state area. My wife is my chauffer(ette). She does a great job. So far no accidents in seven years traveling to and from churches. (We did have a front ender when we got "lost" trying to go to Ft. Dix in NJ for my semi-annual Vets Admin. appointment. No one got hurt, praise the Lord.) Please pray for traveling mercies for us. Also, like you we are experiencing the "pinch" of gas and food prices on a more-or-less fixed income.
MINISTRY: We have now been "on-the-road" for the past 7+ years and have put 80,000 + miles on our car in he last 3 years. God has been so good to us in opening up pulpits to us and allowing us to see souls saved and God's people blessed, helped, encouraged, and challenged. The altar calls are often full! We preach and teach with Holy Spirit conviction from an old-fashioned King James Bible (not version!). God has not only promised to preserve His Word and His words, but to bless them and use them, and He never fails.
Please pray that He will continue to open doors of service for us till He calls us home.
Money is never an issue with us as we serve the Lord. "...not greedy of filthy lucre" We always appreciate any help with traveling expenses, but it is not a prerequisite, and "love gifts" are a blessing but we understand that churches are also feeling the pressure with increasing expenses and we go wherever He leads without expectation or demands of remuneration. And we will never complain if we do not receive anything. We are just happy to be used of Him!
To those of you who have had us in your church, we send our love and thanks.
